Union Budget Analysis 2026

The  Programme was successfully organized by the Department of MBA, IMC, with the active support and guidance of the Dean, Dr. Venkatesh V. Amin, Head of the Department, Dr. Kavyashree, and the faculty in charge, Dr. Nikshitha Shetty, along with Prof. Pooja and other faculty members of the department. The programme aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the Union Budget and its implications across various sectors of the Indian economy.

The programme commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by the Chief Guest, CA Upendra V. Shenoy, Founder of Upendra Shenoy Company, along with Dr. Venkatesh V. Amin, Dean, IMC and IPSLM. The dignitaries inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the beginning of knowledge sharing and intellectual discussion.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Amisha R. Kotian, who extended a cordial welcome to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, and students. This was followed by an expert session by CA Upendra V. Shenoy, who shared valuable insights into the Union Budget 2026, explaining key provisions, fiscal priorities, sectoral allocations, and their impact on the economy. His session provided practical and professional perspectives on budget analysis, which greatly enriched the learning experience of the students.

Subsequently, Dr. Venkatesh V. Amin, Dean, IMC, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of the Union Budget in shaping national economic growth and policy direction. He offered insightful interpretations of major budget announcements and emphasized the importance of critical analysis and informed discussion among management students.

Following the inaugural session, the programme proceeded with student presentations. Students were divided into teams based on important sectors of the Union Budget, such as agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare, taxation, MSMEs, and digital economy. A total of around 12 teams, comprising students from both First Year and Second Year MBA, presented their detailed sector-wise budget analysis. The presentations reflected thorough research, analytical thinking, and practical understanding of budgetary implications.

The programme further continued with an interactive panel discussion on Union Budget Analysis 2026. The panel consisted of the Chief Guest, CA Upendra V. Shenoy, Dean Dr. Venkatesh V. Amin, and student representatives. This session proved to be highly informative, as students actively participated by raising questions, sharing viewpoints, and engaging in meaningful discussions. CA Upendra V. Shenoy addressed the students’ queries with clarity and shared his expert insights, while the Dean further added value through his academic and policy-oriented perspectives. The discussion enabled students to understand diverse viewpoints and gain deeper insights into the budget’s long-term economic impact.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Abin Abstain, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, dignitaries, faculty members, organizers, and students for their valuable contributions and active participation. As a token of gratitude, the chief guest was felicitated, marking the successful completion of the event.

Overall, the Union Budget Analysis 2026 Programme was highly informative and intellectually enriching. It significantly enhanced students’ analytical abilities, awareness of economic policies, and practical understanding of the Union Budget, making it a valuable academic initiative for MBA students.
