Mangaluru: Srinivas University, through its Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC)
and Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM), Department of MBA,
successfully hosted the International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Social
Transformation in the Digital Era (ICIESD–2025) on 12th and 13th December 2025 at its
City Campus (Old Building), Pandeshwar, Mangaluru.
The conference was organized in association with Maaref University of Applied Sciences,
reflecting a strong international academic partnership and a shared commitment to global
knowledge exchange. The event aimed to bring together international scholars, academicians,
researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and students to deliberate on
emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in an increasingly digital world.
The inaugural session was graced by Shri P. B. Ahmed Mudassar, President of the Kanara
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), who emphasized the critical role of
entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity in achieving sustainable economic growth. Dr.
Anjay Kumar Mishra, Professor and Dean, Madhesh University, highlighted the
transformative societal impact of education in the contemporary digital era.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Satyanarayana Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University,
underscored the growing importance of digital innovation and entrepreneurship in driving
economic development and social progress. Dr. Preveen B. M., Research Director, extended
his best wishes and appreciated the relevance of the conference theme in the present digital
landscape. He noted that such academic platforms play a vital role in promoting high-quality
research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful knowledge sharing among scholars,
practitioners, and industry experts, and commended the organizing committee for
successfully attracting participants from India and abroad.
The inaugural session was attended by Dr. Venkatesh Amin, Dean, IMC & IPSLM; Dr.
Shailashri V. T., Research Coordinator, IMC; Dr. Kavyashree K., Head, Department of
MBA; Dr. Venkatesh B. M., Conference Convener; and Dr. Nikshitha Shetty, Conference
Co-convener, along with several other distinguished delegates from across the globe.
Participation and Engagement
The hybrid mode of the conference enabled wider participation, allowing delegates from
different regions and countries to join online, while offline participants benefited from direct
interaction, networking, and collaborative discussions. Students actively participated as
presenters, volunteers, and audience members, gaining confidence, academic exposure, and
motivation for future research.
The two-day international conference concluded on a successful note, achieving its objectives
