“Blending Research and Practice – Enhancing Quality Teaching in the Modern Classroom”
The Institute of Management and Commerce (IMC) and the Institute of Port, Shipping &
Logistics Management (IPSLM), Srinivas University, successfully organized a five-days
Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Blending Research and Practice – Enhancing
Quality Teaching in the Modern Classroom” from June 2nd to June 6th, 2025, at the City
Campus, Pandeshwar.
The program was effectively coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Venkatesh Amin, Dean,
IMC, and Dr. Shailashri V. T., Research Coordinator, Srinivas University. Dr. Nikshitha
Shetty, Assistant Professor, IMC, and Prof. Souparnika, Assistant Professor, IPSLM,
efficiently managed the coordination and smooth execution of the program. Faculty members
from various institutes under Srinivas University and other universities actively participated
in the program.
The objective of this five-day FDP was to equip faculty members and research scholars with
innovative pedagogical strategies, practical digital tools, and techniques to integrate research
into teaching. The program focused on addressing modern classroom challenges, blended
learning approaches, mentoring techniques, and fostering research excellence in highereducation.
